3 Potters: Ceramics at 44MAIN!
November 15, 2019 @ 10:00 am – November 17, 2019 @ 5:00 pm
A ceramics pop-up at 44MAIN featuring Bracken Feldman, Jill Leary, and Tom Loggia: three different potters with a unique wheel throwing style.
Bracken Fern Studio makes beautiful, handmade functional ceramic works that can be used on a daily basis. Whether it be in preparation of a meal, a pair of hands being warmed by a mug, or even a piece used to hold flowers for an arrangement to be displayed, these creations are to be shared with everyone!
Jill Leary is the founder of the Railyard Arts Studio. She is a practicing artist and a New York State certified arts education teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts, with a concentration in Ceramics, and a Bachelor’s of Art Education from Syracuse University, as well as a Master’s of Fine Arts. For 11 years, Jill worked as an elementary art teacher for the Brewster Central School District. She also inspired students after school through the district’s Enrichment Creative Arts Program, which hosted exhibitions of students’ work at the Katonah Museum of Art.
Loggia View Pottery by Tom Loggia features handmade stoneware pottery produced in Dutchess County, New York. The works are one of a kind, personally handmade from our own high fire stoneware clay, slips and glazes, each of which is uniquely formulated from the local environment.
The ceramics pop-up will be at 44MAIN: Friday – Sunday (November 15/16/17) 10 – 5pm each day.
